After serving in the U.S. Army as an infantry soldier in Vietnam (1969-1971), Glen Brown enrolled at the University of Colorado where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1977. Shortly thereafter, Glen and his immediate family relocated to Portland, Oregon to embark on a new journey.

In 1980, Glen & Mary Brown opened for business in the Portland Metro area as an independent subcontractor. In 1985, they made the transition to General Contractor and incorporated as Glen/Mar Construction, Inc. The company specialized in residential construction both new and remodeling before expanding into commercial construction. For twenty-years Glen/Mar has been a successful full-service general contractor.

Existing as a privately held corporation located in Clackamas, Oregon, Glen/Mar Construction, Inc. provides the construction management expertise to complete projects on time and within budget. As a member of the construction team, Glen/Mar works with architects, engineers and owners to find the best and most economical solution for their projects.
