Project Description

As part of the contract requirement, Glen/Mar had to provide an engineered work plan to successfully remove the existing 3” cableway system that spans approximately 1,400LF across the Sacramento River. In addition to the 3” cableway, the scope of work included the demolition of the existing head and tail towers, concrete gear house and the installation of (3) new nesting towers to hold existing Osprey nests currently perched on existing cable trolley and head and tail towers.  Work had to be completed between March and October when the Ospreys were not present, as they are a protected species under the Migratory Bird Act.
